Kamakura, the inspiration for the manga/anime Slam Dunk, is a popular tourist destination, and you can then go down to the beach. I visited Enoshima, collected seashells; it’s quite a distance from Asakusa by train, but the trip was much cheaper than staying at the hotel.

By the time we arrived in Kamakura by tram, it was already noon. We ate lunch at the entrance of the shopping street. We wanted to eat Japanese food, but the kids ended up having spaghetti from Fujiya instead.

We hiked to Enoshima, climbing for a short while before reaching the top. This was a compromise my wife and children made for me, allowing me to fulfill my love of hiking. At the top of the moutain, we can see Fuji-Moutain in distance, and enjoyed the sunset then went down.
Today we just went to the beach and step into the sands, so decided to go to zushi tommorow for just beach tour.
